Motorcycle Accident Triggers SigAlert

Road accidents not only cause physical harm but it can also result to heavy traffic or road closure. In fact, a recent motorcycle accident that injured a motorcyclist also caused two lanes on the southbound 57 freeway at East Lambert Road to be blocked.

A SigAlert was issued after a motorcyclist was struck by a black Toyota Sequoia along the area.

According to authorities, the motorcyclist who was identified as Jorge Perez, 39, sustained moderate injuries and was brought to UCI Medical Center. Perez was riding a 2001 Suzuki motorcycle, reports said.

Vehicle divers should always be aware of the presence of other road users. On the other hand, motorcyclists should also exert extra care while moving near other vehicles because they know that they may be unnoticed by drivers.
