Crazy Town Lead Singer Sued for 2010 Car Crash

Image gives credit to the
Hollywood Reporter.
After falling into a drug-induced coma early this year, Crazy Town lead singer Seth Binzer is now facing a lawsuit concerning his involvement in a 2010 car accident.

In her lawsuit, Erika Holmes claimed that she was permanently injured after the said incident.  She further claimed that the Butterfly rapper was wantonly, recklessly, and tortuously driving his car when he rammed her vehicle, which caused her severe personal injuries.

Binzer, who is best-known for his stage name, Shifty Shellshock, is currently being questioned in court regarding his real name.

The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles, California seeking for unspecified damages, which include general- and medical-related expenses.

It can be remembered that last April, Binzer suffered from a drug-induced coma, which he luckily survived. Previous reports revealed that Binzer went on a binge of pills, Gamma Hydroxybutyric acid (GHB), and crack and fell into coma.

It can be remembered that back in 2001, Binzer was one of the singers who were riding in fame. However, a lot of things have changed for him since then.

Last year, the rapper had a stint in the reality TV show, Celebrity Rehab. Consequently, the past few years have not been good for him.

Accordingly, the increase of car related disaster is the most common reason why people who got involved in car accidents bring up their personal injury claims in courts across the country.

Moreover, as observed by several personal injury lawyers, the increasing number of traffic accidents and injuries cannot really be avoided despite the efforts being exerted by both federal and state government. Apparently, the root cause of the problem is the hundreds of irresponsible motorists hitting the road every day.

Usher’s Stepson Dies Due to Brain Injury

After two weeks in life support, Usher’s stepson Kile Glover died early Saturday morning after the boy’s mother and Usher’s ex-wife, Tameka Foster, decided to make a tough decision to remove his life support.

Usher’s 11-year-old stepson was declared brain dead by doctors in an Atlanta hospital after a tragic jet ski accident at Lake Lanier last July 7.

According to reports, Kile and his 15-year-old friend were playing in an inner tube while being pulled by a speed boat when a 38-year-old man in jet ski struck them. As a result of which, Kile sustained severe brain injury and was in fact unconscious as he was being taken off the water while his friend likewise sustained brain injury and a broken arm but her condition was not as severe as Kile.

Since the incident, no brain activity had been observed from Kile. Therefore, doctors were prompted to declare him as brain dead. Actually, as early as Kile’s first week in the hospital, his family was suggested to decide whether or not to take off his life support system.

Probably, it is the toughest decision that a parent, particularly a mother like Tameka, could ever do. Meanwhile, Usher and the young boy during the latter’s lifetime maintained a close relationship with each other. In fact, Usher loved the boy too much and raised him like his own during his relationship with Tameka.

Now, Usher was said to be surrounding himself with loved-ones to help him ease the emotional pain brought by Kile’s death. Although they weren’t able to save Kile’s life, at least Usher and Kile’s real family wouldn’t have regrets since they did everything they thought that could save the young boy, especially Usher who even rented a private plane for Tameka when the news broke out just to bring her on her son’s side during those difficult times.

Such circumstances are the reason why brain injury law is very significant nowadays. People are becoming aggressive and a brain injury may be unavoidable not only in car accidents but also in jet ski accidents like this one.

A Los Angeles injury attorney reminds people that even a simple accident such as a simple head bump can make a major impact on one’s life, and worst, it can lead to a tragic accident like what happened with Usher’s stepson.

Rapper 50 Cent Injured from Vehicle Accident 3 Days after Soulja Boy’s Road Mishap

Three days after rapper Soulja Boy was reportedly involved in a minor car crash, another rapper was again engaged in a road mishap that left him hospitalized.

Early Tuesday morning, Curtis James Jackson III or more popularly known as 50 Cent, was involved in a vehicle accident where he incurred minor injuries.

According to 50 Cent’s spokesperson, the rapper was transported to New York Hospital Queens for treatment of the minor injuries he sustained in his neck and back from the early morning crash.

Reports said that the incident occurred after a Mack Truck traveling along the Long Island Expressway rear-ended the rapper’s bullet-proof SUV. Initial findings revealed that when the truck driver’s load shifted, the latter lost control of his vehicle and caused it to struck 50 Cent’s car, which subsequently almost flipped over due to the heavy impact brought by the accident.

Although the injuries sustained by 50 Cent were minor, as precautionary measure, he was still taken to the hospital but was immediately released.

His spokesperson further said that 50 Cent is now doing fine. However, reports said that the doctors are currently conducting tests on the rapper’s neck and back.

Fortunately, despite the two consecutive life threatening situations that 50 Cent had over the past few weeks, he is still lucky enough to avoid surgery in his first accident and severe personal injury in the second one. Moreover, he seems overly blessed now that his fifth album entitled “Murder by Numbers” will be released by the first week of July.

It is not yet clear who is at fault in the incident, but authorities are currently determining who will be held liable for the said vehicle accident.

Vehicle accidents always come unpredictable. Even when you strictly observe proper care and caution in your every actions and dealings, an accident could still happen due to another person’s negligence, according to a car accident attorney in Los Angeles.

LA Dodgers’ James Loney Sued Over a Los Angeles Car Accident

The Los Angeles Dodgers’ star, James Loney, is now being sued for a car accident that got him hospitalized way back in November last year.

The lawsuit was filed by Mid-Century Insurance Company, claiming that Loney caused the car accident that occurred last November in Los Angeles.

Loney was involved in a car accident last November 14, wherein he was arrested while being treated at a hospital.

According to the initial reports released by authorities regarding the said incident, Loney seems to be under the influence of intoxicating substance during the accident. Allegedly, he swerved into a Toyota car and then rear-ended a Mercedes and a Mini, causing a car pileup.

During Loney’s arrest, police said that the baseball player was acting so strange that he even got to the point of breaking the breathalyzer tool that was being used by police officers conducting his alcohol test. In fact, Loney didn’t even know the actual date of the accident when he was asked by police.

Police said that Loney’s toxicology test surprisingly came back negative. The case was subsequently transferred to the LA County Attorney’s Office.

Probably, the authorities, as well as the insurance company, already found sufficient proof of Loney’s negligent driving for them to file necessary legal action. Consequently a lawsuit seeking for $30,506.79 worth of damages was filed against Loney.

Most often, car accidents occur as a result of other people’s negligent behaviors or misconduct, just like in Loney’s case when he created a road mishap as a result of him driving under the influence. Fortunately for him, many personal injury lawyers are willing to support Loney in his case.

In U.S. when it comes to personal injury claims, car related catastrophes are among the most common reasons why people resort to filing a claim. According to information gathered by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), a person will be more likely to become a victim during a car accident when negligent drivers are within striking distance.

Mobile Phone Use While Red Light is On Prohibited to Lessen Risk of Car Accidents

More often, while on the road, drivers never miss their chance to talk on their mobile phones during red lights. Of course it’s their best opportunity to sneak in a brief phone call to send their important messages while vehicles are not in motion and until red light is off since there is no such rule stating that it is unlawful then, but now before making or accepting any phone calls during red light, think twice first.

Early this week, state appeals court resolved that during red light, a driver is still prohibited from using a handled mobile phone.

However, despite of this new policy, the 1st District Court of Appeal in San Francisco caught motorist dialing a phone and handling it to his ears during red light. The driver and the police officer who caught him argued as the man claims that the 2007 law that requires a driver to use a hands – free cellphone device while driving only applies when a car is in motion.

The 2007 law allows drivers to make and accept mobile phone calls using a hands – free cellphone device while driving and only when the car is in motion. Apart from that nothing more was specified. Mobile phone usage during red light or while the vehicle is not in motion is not clearly stated on the law.

Supposedly the man has a point there but not after the new applied law has been approved. Under the new federal state law, a use of hand – free cellphone device now also applies even when the car is not in motion.

Justice James Lambden had given out his point of view that if drivers were allowed to make or accept mobile phone calls during brief pauses like in stop – and – go traffic, red lights, stop signs and other causes of impediments, public safety could be endangered. The resolution only reflects common sense according to Deputy Atty. Gen. Eric Share.

It was just a little modification on the first law, therefore following the new law will do no harm to motorist. But instead, will lessen the risk of car accidents and other vehicle accident related injuries.
