Crazy Town Lead Singer Sued for 2010 Car Crash

Image gives credit to the
Hollywood Reporter.
After falling into a drug-induced coma early this year, Crazy Town lead singer Seth Binzer is now facing a lawsuit concerning his involvement in a 2010 car accident.

In her lawsuit, Erika Holmes claimed that she was permanently injured after the said incident.  She further claimed that the Butterfly rapper was wantonly, recklessly, and tortuously driving his car when he rammed her vehicle, which caused her severe personal injuries.

Binzer, who is best-known for his stage name, Shifty Shellshock, is currently being questioned in court regarding his real name.

The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles, California seeking for unspecified damages, which include general- and medical-related expenses.

It can be remembered that last April, Binzer suffered from a drug-induced coma, which he luckily survived. Previous reports revealed that Binzer went on a binge of pills, Gamma Hydroxybutyric acid (GHB), and crack and fell into coma.

It can be remembered that back in 2001, Binzer was one of the singers who were riding in fame. However, a lot of things have changed for him since then.

Last year, the rapper had a stint in the reality TV show, Celebrity Rehab. Consequently, the past few years have not been good for him.

Accordingly, the increase of car related disaster is the most common reason why people who got involved in car accidents bring up their personal injury claims in courts across the country.

Moreover, as observed by several personal injury lawyers, the increasing number of traffic accidents and injuries cannot really be avoided despite the efforts being exerted by both federal and state government. Apparently, the root cause of the problem is the hundreds of irresponsible motorists hitting the road every day.

LA Dodgers’ James Loney Sued Over a Los Angeles Car Accident

The Los Angeles Dodgers’ star, James Loney, is now being sued for a car accident that got him hospitalized way back in November last year.

The lawsuit was filed by Mid-Century Insurance Company, claiming that Loney caused the car accident that occurred last November in Los Angeles.

Loney was involved in a car accident last November 14, wherein he was arrested while being treated at a hospital.

According to the initial reports released by authorities regarding the said incident, Loney seems to be under the influence of intoxicating substance during the accident. Allegedly, he swerved into a Toyota car and then rear-ended a Mercedes and a Mini, causing a car pileup.

During Loney’s arrest, police said that the baseball player was acting so strange that he even got to the point of breaking the breathalyzer tool that was being used by police officers conducting his alcohol test. In fact, Loney didn’t even know the actual date of the accident when he was asked by police.

Police said that Loney’s toxicology test surprisingly came back negative. The case was subsequently transferred to the LA County Attorney’s Office.

Probably, the authorities, as well as the insurance company, already found sufficient proof of Loney’s negligent driving for them to file necessary legal action. Consequently a lawsuit seeking for $30,506.79 worth of damages was filed against Loney.

Most often, car accidents occur as a result of other people’s negligent behaviors or misconduct, just like in Loney’s case when he created a road mishap as a result of him driving under the influence. Fortunately for him, many personal injury lawyers are willing to support Loney in his case.

In U.S. when it comes to personal injury claims, car related catastrophes are among the most common reasons why people resort to filing a claim. According to information gathered by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), a person will be more likely to become a victim during a car accident when negligent drivers are within striking distance.

Aviation Accident in Siberia Kills 31 and Injures 12

A Russian passenger plane crashed and burst into flames after taking off in Siberia last Monday. The said aviation accident killed 31 and injured 12 people according to emergency officials.

Initially, 13 survivors were removed from the wrecked plane, but one later died while being airlifted to the hospital in the City of Tyumen, just east of Moscow.

Video footages from news reports showed that the plane had broken into half, reclining in a snowy field, with only the tail and rear part of the fuselage visible.

Information about the main cause of the UTair airlines ATR72 crash was not yet released. However, an investigative committee is eyeing at technical malfunction of the 21–year-old plane as a possible cause of the accident.

The UTair airlines’ ATR72 was loaded with 39 passengers and 4 crews when the accident occurred. Apparently, it was the most recent aviation accident to be recorded into Russia’s safety record.

The head of the regional branch of Emergencies Ministry, Yuri Alekhin said that the “black box” flight recorder had been found and lead to the discovery that contact with the plane was lost 3 minutes after taking off in Siberia.

UTair, in its official website, said that the twin-engine, turbo-prop plane on the way to Surgut had been trying to execute an emergency landing when it came down 1.5 km from the airport in the Western Siberian city of Tayumen, an oil town in the northeast part of the region.

At present, five of the survivors were in serious condition.

Aviation accidents rarely happen. However, when it occurs, it is frightening since the possibility of all passengers and crews being killed are very high. Therefore, personal injury lawyers who particularly specialize in the said field can be very helpful in such cases.

Pilot Dies in an Aviation Accident in West Fresno, California

A pilot has died after the small four-seater plane he was riding in crashed at West Fresno.

According to witnesses, a Cessna heading south came crashing down, took out multiple power lines and then furiously landed in a canal last February 5 at around 4 o’clock in the afternoon near Garfield and Barstow.

The Cessna pilot died in the crash. Investigation found out that the pilot was the only person on board. The identity of the pilot still remains undisclosed but his age was said to be in 40’s to 50’s.

The Fresno County Sheriff’s office asserts that the plane came from outside the vicinity and was flying over the Central Valley when the aviation accident occurred. One of the witnesses has said that there was a loud explosion before the Cessna lost its control.

The clipped power lines made it risky for the rescuers to respond at the accident until the Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) crews arrived and fixed the power lines.

The rural area where the plane crashed in is surrounded by plenty of houses. Fortunately, the plane smashed into a canal and not into a house and no other person sustained personal injury.

Until present, the federal government is still trying to figure out in their investigation what had caused the Cessna to crash.

According to the Federal Aviation Agency (FAA), the Cessna is registered under a man from Walnut Creek. Records from the agency show that the said Cessna plane 172 is a single-engine plane with four-seating capacity and the same was manufactured in 1979.

Aviation accidents rarely happen but unfortunately, when it occurs, there is a huge possibility that all its passengers will be killed. In such incidents, personal injury lawyers are important.
